The Oasis Church was started in February of 2010 in Rawlins, Wyoming by Pastor Gary & Marji Gilbert. It is a non-denominational church with contemporary worship and a

love & grace filled atmosphere.

We want this church to be a place where you will immediately sense the presence of God. His unconditional love and grace are ministered in a Biblical, powerful way that changes lives from the inside out.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God.
He was crucified, buried and rose from the dead conquering
sin and death as He did.

Living under the New Covenant, we are the chosen people of God, set apart and sanctified by our faith in the completed works of Christ,
and it is not based upon our own works.
We are a new creation in Christ Jesus, and we have been made
the righteousness of God in Him.

Meet Our Team

Pastor Gary Gilbert

Pastor Gary is a licensed and ordained minister through The Oasis Church of Billings, MT and The Missionary Church International. He attended Overcoming Life Bible College in Rapid City, South Dakota and has served as a Deacon, Elder, Youth Minister, Worship Leader, and has now been a full-time Pastor for more than 10 years.
He served as a Chaplain for the University of Wyoming and is currently a Chaplain for the Rawlins Police Department & the Carbon County Sheriff's Office. Gary assisted his mentors John and Linda Kyle in planting churches in Rapid City, South Dakota, Laramie, Wyoming, Pocatello, Idaho, Grand Island, Nebraska, and Missoula, Montana.

Worship

Worship at The Oasis is lively and contemporary with all the focus on the presence of God.

Pastor Gary's wife, Marji, has led our worship since the church began in 2010 and has been involved on Spirit-Led worship teams for many years prior to that.
Our current team is made up of Marji Gilbert on vocals, Jeff Sanders on guitar, Bob Porier on bass, and Pastor Gary on drums.

Children's Ministry

Marji Gilbert is our certified Children's Ministry Director with degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development from the University of Wyoming. She has been teaching children about our Lord Jesus Christ in a Biblical and graceful way for more than 15 years.

The Oasis Children engage in worship with the congregation and then partake of a separate Christ centered, theme based Children's Church.

An engaging Nursery is also provided for the very youngest members of our Congregation.

Ministry Team

Pastor Gary

is, well, the Pastor, and oversees The Oasis including various different mentoring, counseling, and other ministry-related appointments throughout the week.

Marji Gilbert

is the Worship Leader as well as the Children's Ministry Director. She also serves the ladies of the church through a monthly woman's ministry.

Jakob Kottke
is our youth/young adult minister, leading a weekly group every Sunday night along with coordinating the youth for trips and fundraisers.

Elijah Gilbert

is our "Tech Guy" making sure the services flow smoothly and making us sound and look good. He also operates our online presence, is our merchandise/live streaming coordinator, and edits the website ;).

Numerous other folks help make the ministry happen. We are a growing family that encourages each and every person to get plugged in and find their unique role.
